In a modern Chinese metropolis, a seemingly ordinary man uses dating apps to hunt and kill women, his decade-long wife completely blind to the monster beside her. Cybercrime detective Lin Wei constructs a fake online persona based on a meticulous digital profile of the killer, setting a trap that forces him into a psychological and physical reckoning. Mirroring the ancient parable of Duke Xiang of Zheng surrendering bare-chested and leading a sheep to King Zhuang of Chu, the predator becomes the prey, compelled to strip away his mask in a confrontation that asks: do we ever truly know the ones we share our beds with?
