The Ritual of Seven

In the Republic of Koyo, former Seinan University trustee Mitsuo Yanagida is a man ruled by numbers. Every midnight, he begins a silent, obsessive ritual of counting and cleaning that cannot be interrupted—a compulsion that brands him a monster in the eyes of the public. When the vice-chancellor who uncovered his bribery scheme is found murdered, all forensic evidence and surveillance point to Yanagida. The trial appears inevitable until his defense attorney uncovers a logical deadlock hidden inside the very pathology that condemns him, turning the courtroom into a stage where extreme discipline becomes the ultimate alibi.
