The Hunt Unmasked

When a stampede at the Festival of Light in Meridia kills dozens, former jockey and morgue assistant Sam Forester detects wounds no crowd could inflict. His discovery that the dead were chased before they were crushed leads him to a celebrated philanthropist whose charitable foundation conceals a private hunting preserve where the desperate are the prey. Helped by a feral boy who escaped the hunt, Sam rides into a world where mercy is a mask and the only truth lies beneath his scalpel.
