Novel Summary
In the rain-swept city of Vespera, former prosecutor Adrian Kael becomes consumed by the case against renowned sculptor Lazar Volk, who is accused of transforming human bodies into grotesque masterpieces. As Kael obsessively pursues the truth behind Volk’s "artistic vision," he descends into a labyrinth of moral decay, finding that his hunger for justice has become indistinguishable from the killer’s lunacy. Written in the tradition of Dostoevsky, this novel probes the sickness of absolute certainty and the annihilation that awaits those who gaze too long into the abyss.
