The Locked Debt

Seven years after a controversial police shooting in Ashford, Veridia, seven strangers awaken inside the sealed wing of a derelict courthouse. A distorted voice delivers the rules: each of them has committed an unpunished murder spawned by that night, and only by confessing can they prevent the next death. As bodies fall and the walls close in, the survivors are forced to piece together a chain of vengeance that stretches far beyond the original gunfire. The deeper they dig, the clearer it becomes—violence never resolves, it only begets a more insidious cycle of hatred, and every act of justice becomes a new wound waiting to erupt.
