Steel Compassion

In the wake of a Supreme Court ruling that criminalized a disability rights group’s subway sticker protest, an elderly outcast in a fictional East Asian republic is robbed. Abandoned by the police, he engineers a series of grotesque booby traps inside his decrepit apartment. The bloodshed that follows forces a fractured society to confront the hollow comfort of pity unbacked by institutional change.
