Shadow of the Guarantor

In 257 BCE Qin, private investigator Qi Mao is hired to shadow a minor official linked to the surrendered general Zheng Anping. He soon discovers he is being stalked by a mysterious tracker. Their deadly game converges in a sealed alley, revealing that the seemingly perfect crime protecting Chancellor Fan Ju from collective punishment is nothing but a grotesque product of imperial slowness and sheer luck.
