The Furnace Within

In the decaying industrial town of Calderforge, private investigator Felix Crowe is hired by a steelworkers' union to clear a black furnace operator accused of a brutal tenement murder. The trail leads Crowe from the hellish glow of the foundry to the squalid labyrinth of Bellmouth Court, where survival demands savagery. As Crowe unmasks the true killer, he confronts a horror that no courtroom can remedy: a community so crushed by poverty that predation has become the only currency. Justice is served, a man goes to prison, but the furnace of the slums continues to consume the weak, leaving Crowe haunted by the futility of his victory.
