In the sprawling exurbs of Lanark County, a modest landowner's fight against a corporate developer becomes the raw material for a media empire's most cynical experiment. When stormwater drowns the Holloway family's inherited acres, a local journalist-turned-influencer orchestrates a reverse-morality play: the developer's reckless foreman is refashioned as a visionary conservationist, while the Holloways—mired in debt and desperation—are painted as backward squatters.
