Ash Road

In the dying autumn of 1973, as America limps out of Vietnam and into Watergate, two fugitives—a disgraced sheriff's deputy and a shell-shocked war medic—flee across the Nebraska badlands with a satchel of evidence that could topple a corrupt oil dynasty. Haunted by a murder they didn't commit but cannot explain, they drive a stolen Plymouth into the dust, chased by a relentless federal marshal and a hired killer with a preacher's collar. As the road frays their nerves and gasoline runs low, the line between guilt and survival blurs, and the toxins of a nation's broken promise boil over in a final, blood-soaked stand.
