The Clean Funeral

In the hyper-orderly Yashima Republic, municipal auditor Kihara Mayumi investigates a series of eerily identical public funerals. She uncovers a mother's obsessive love for her son—a love enforced through cold bureaucratic protocol, where any outside influence is surgically erased. As Mayumi digs deeper, she finds herself marked for the next meticulously scheduled funeral, trapped in a mechanical system of maternal horror where protection means annihilation.
